This workshop will assist nonprofits in assessing current plans to communicate with the public about organizational services and identifying tools that further advertise their nonprofit’s work.
Workshop participants will:
1) Explore existing outreach and communications strategies in the nonprofit sector as it relates to information management, service delivery, and team project management.
2) Create S.M.A.R.T objectives (specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and timely) that develop communications among your organization’s team members or staff relating to project management. Identify organizational and board-driven strategies to amplify organizations’ online voice and presence.
3) Learn how to use social media as advocacy tools, for building an audience, and how to measure effectiveness. Identify existing public-facing communication strategies and explore ways to increase engagement.
4) Receive various communications resources that engage your community, encourage partnership, and advance organizational goals and missions in the short and long-term.
